Delicious!! My boyfriend and I are from Brooklyn and the Bronx, so our standards are pretty high. However, we did not have high expectations from Consiglio's and it sure knocked it out of the park! We ordered Arancinis, meatballs and fried mozzarella for appetizers and found that they were all delicious. The red sauce was super authentic, just like home. We barely had room for our entrees, the lasagna and pesto tortellini, but made sure to get our bites in. It was super yummy and made sure to bring the rest home.
Oh and the service is top notch! Friendly and genuine. We felt very well taken care of :) -

My friend and I had a lovely dinner here this past evening. Chasity, our waitress, was really nice and enthusiastic about the menu. I can see why!
We started with the mozz sticks, which came in triangles and had a great breading and side sauce. It was tough to pick a main, but I was drawn to the homemade angel hair pasta, which was nice and garlic-y. The portion was big enough to have leftovers.
In a rare course of events, we ended up getting free dessert (with the Yelp check-in!), and we decided on the cannoli cheesecake, which might have been my most favorite part of the whole meal. So decadent.
Nice homey feel without feeling too stuffy. They have various events coming up, like cooking classes and a murder mystery night. It would be a fun space for either types of events, I think. -

The waitress was lovely and the food was quite good- everyone seemed to enjoy the meal. I didn't love was the limoncello spritzer which was very sweet and denser than I imagined. I have tried a limoncello or two (or 20) in my life and this wasn't my favorite. Dessert was also so-so.

This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Why go to Manhattan, when you have some of the best Italian food right here in New Haven!!
My favorite, and I almost always get it, is their gnocchi bolongase (hoping I spelled that correctly! ) : )
They are always booked, so make sure you make a reservation. You will not be disappointed. -

After dropping our son off for orientation at the University of New Haven we had lunch at Consiglio's. We were the only customers on the patio and as such we felt the service was kinda slow. Didn't really matter to us because we didn't have to be anywhere quickly. The food was delicious!!! We had the fried calamari (app), Caesar salad, chicken orzo soup, chicken parm, and vodka penne with chicken. Everything was very good! Would love to come back in the night time as I'm sure the patio would be even nicer with the lights lit up.
